Artist Bio
I have a degree in design from the U of M, but did not like the ceramics class I took there (too much throwing). Fast forward 35 years and I started working at Red Wing Pottery as a graphic designer. I took a couple classes there, watched the potters working, and asked a lot of questions. Soon I was taking clay home to play with and made little gnomes and homes for them. After a few months I started teaching the "Enchanted Garden" clay class. I joined the Crossings Clay Studio in Zumbrota (where I live) and starting branching out into functional pottery and sculpture, all handbuilt. I am semi-retired now, and enjoying the time to pursue my interest in ceramics.
